AD | Perthshire Artisans ASSEMBLE
Perthshire Artisans ASSEMBLE for their inaugural art exhibition in Perth City Centre this month. Whilst primarily an online platform, opportunities are continually sought to showcase members work and to support their creative practice, and they are delighted to be part of the St Matthew’s Summer Gallery and Festival 2024.
ASSEMBLE is a mixed exhibition including work from 30 Artisans living and working throughout Perth & Kinross, ensuring a variety of style, originality and quality of work to view and buy in one venue, for one week in Perth city centre.
Running from Saturday 13 to Friday 19 July, visitors can enjoy original paintings, photography and prints in addition to ceramics, jewellery, glass and mosaics. Members of Perthshire Artisans will also be on hand for any creative chat and greater understanding of their work. The week-long exhibition is also an opportunity for any local artists and creatives to chat in person about the benefits of becoming a Perthshire Artisan.
Developed by specialist rural enterprise experts GrowBiz, Perthshire Artisans is a curated platform supporting and promoting the region’s diverse range of creative talent, enabling opportunities for local artists and creatives as well as providing business support and a community amongst the members themselves.
Caron Ironside, Perthshire Artisans Facilitator says: “Coming together is an important aspect of what we do at Perthshire Artisans, whether online or in person, often as a way to share ideas, support and inspiration.
“Hosting an exhibition is an opportunity we are delighted to organise, a first for members to ‘ASSEMBLE’ and showcase their wonderful artwork and creations. We hope locals and visitors to the area will come along and enjoy the creative talent of Perth & Kinross.”
The week-long exhibition at St Matthew’s on Tay Street, Perth runs from Saturday 13 to Friday 19 July and is the second in eight different exhibitions being held as part of their Summer Gallery and Festival. Open from 10-4pm (1-4pm on Sunday 14 July), St Matthew’s will also have tea and coffee available for visitors.
