AD: Choose One of Scotland’s Most Romantic Hotels for Your Valentine's Day Feast
A finalist in Scotland’s Most Romantic Hotel category in the 2024 Scottish Hotel Awards, Karma Lake of Menteith has revealed its enticing 2025 Valentine's Day Menu which features dishes devised by its award winning Head Chef, Joe Peden.
With a choice of two starters, two main courses, and two desserts, and with a set price of £70 per couple, this most romantic of meals will be served in the hotel’s conservatory lakeside restaurant, overlooking the tranquil Lake of Menteith.
Keen to include one of his favourite local ingredients, the trout from the lake itself, Joe has devised the delicious starter of salt cured Lake of Menteith trout which is served with a root vegetable salad and a thyme cracker. Joe’s other equally tempting starter is a toasted brioche rarebit.
Onto mains, and diners can choose from peppered fillet steak medallions, with sauce Diane, or a beetroot cream cheese and wild mushroom ravioli.
It wouldn’t be Valentine’s Day without an indulgent dessert. Joe has created a frozen honey nut parfait, with winter berry jelly and pistachio sponge, or opt for the warm triple chocolate and strawberry brownie sandwich with fondant candy.
