With many amazing twists on traditional festive food, The Dalmore Inn & Restaurant in Blairgowrie has released its 2024 Festive Menu. The menu will run every day from Monday 2nd December until Christmas Eve.

“With our value for money prices – two courses are on offer for £27.95, with three courses for £32.95 – you can really treat yourself this Christmas and get together with family and friends to enjoy a delicious festive meal,” said General Manager, Arnaud Merrouche.

Enjoy a starter of chicken liver parfait, homemade soup, a trio of Scottish salmon, or enjoy the complementing – and very festive – flavours of caramelised onion, brie and cranberry tart.

For main course, diners can choose from a grilled 6oz rump steak, pan fried fillet of cod served with scallops, new potatoes and a Champagne caviar sauce, or for vegetarians, a sweet potato, cauliflower and coconut curry.

Roast turkey lovers are, of course, not disappointed, with everyone’s festive favourite, traditional roast turkey, on the menu, served with goose fat roasted potatoes, honey parsnips, sauté greens, pigs in blankets, a haggis, shallot and sage stuffing, and turkey gravy.

The Dalmore Inn’s special festive creation – the Christmas Burger – is another main course highlight to savour. It sees a crispy chicken breast served in a bun, and combined with pigs in blankets, thick gravy, savoy cabbage slaw, and home cut chips – definitely something a bit different and very delicious!

Dessert is always a highlight at Christmas, and at The Dalmore Inn, all are handmade from scratch by Dalmore Inn Head Chef Iain Naysmith and his talented team. A classic brioche bread and butter pudding is served with vanilla ice cream, whilst the flavours of an old Christmas favourite, the black forest gateau, find their way into a trifle. And not forgetting the flavours of Christmas pudding, another beloved dessert, which Iain has made into a cheesecake. It’s served with soaked fruits, orange ripple ice cream, and candied orange.

Cheese lovers can tuck into a selection of brie, applewood cheddar and stilton, served with quince jelly and biscuits.

“We are delighted to release this festive menu, which is once again full of delicious invention but also offers all the traditional flavours and tastes of Christmas,” said Arnaud Merrouche, General Manager at The Dalmore Inn. “We use locally sourced, high quality ingredients wherever possible, to ensure consistency every time you dine with us.”

Arnaud finished by saying: “We look forward to taking bookings for this menu. We know that many people like to get booked and organised early so they can relax and enjoy the celebrations come the time.”

The Dalmore Inn will also be offering its daily specials, light lunches, and a choice of a la carte dishes throughout the festive period.
