AD | New Menu at Red House Hotel is Perfect Excuse for a Dalmore Inn G&T!
With gin included in a refreshing gin and lemon sorbet, which accompanies a zesty lemon tart on its new all day menu, the Red House Hotel at Coupar Angus is giving its customers the perfect excuse to enjoy one of its special signature G&T’s with the dessert, as a festive treat.
The Hotel has its own label gin, named the Dalmore Gin, after its sister business, The Dalmore Inn, in Blairgowrie. It was specially created for Alan Bannerman, the owner of both businesses, by renowned local distillers Persie.
Reminiscent of a walk through a Perthshire forest smelling the pine needles underfoot, it has delicious hints of mint and eucalyptus.
“Our gin is an award-winning gin of real quality that has become much loved by our customers,” said Alan. “Why not enjoy a G&T, or gin cocktail, with this fantastic new dessert, which is part of our latest all day menu here at the Red House? Our Dalmore Gin is available at both the Hotel and at Dalmore Inn. Customers can buy a bottle as a Christmas gift too.”
“The lemon tart is a lovely dessert to enjoy as we approach Christmas,” said Head Chef at the Red House Hotel, Nigel. “If you’ve had a heavier meal, you might be looking for something zingy and fresh to end the meal, and this tart, with the cooling sorbet, hits the spot.”
“Of course, being winter we have plenty of comforting desserts on the menu too, such as sticky toffee pudding, Biscoff cheesecake, spiced apple panna cotta and my famous Chef’s crumble.”
Featuring something for every taste and budget, the new menu demonstrates local sourcing wherever possible, with Nigel, and his fellow chefs, enjoying strong relationships with many of the local producers in the area.
Always known for good value, the Red House has made sure to still include many of its customers’ favourite, well priced, dishes in the new menu, such as its classic beefsteak pie, classic beef burger, fillet of haddock & chips, scampi, and sirloin steak garni, but has added new dishes they may not have tried before to tempt the tastebuds. These include mushroom risotto, Chef’s beef stir fry, Stornoway black pudding & sausage salad, sticky chipotle chicken fillets, and grilled pork cutlets with a cider & grain mustard sauce.
Many dishes are gluten free, with choices for both vegetarians and pescatarians, such as a sweet potato, lentil & chilli burger, and salmon fillet on pea puree with crushed new potatoes.
An affordable Children’s Menu ensures that the whole family can get together and enjoy eating out.
